Support of agricultural associations
The project, which started in 2008, allows support for 68 associations of farmers and peasants in the regions of Ruhango, Kamonyi and Muhanga. These associations are composed of a total of 2040 members.
They are active in income producing agricultural operations. They will grow vegetables, fruits and other products they can sell at market. Profits are shared among members of associations. They may also have access to credit from local micro-finance institutions through the guarantee fund managed by FH.
